Thanksgiving Liturgy

O God of love, we give you thanks for all you have given us to enjoy;  for strength and vigor, for the love and care of  home, for joys of  friendship, and for every good gift of happiness and health.  We praise you for all your servants who by their example and encouragement have helped us on our way, and for every vision of your self which you have given us in Sacrament and prayer;  and we ask for your help in using all our gifts to benefit others and to glorify your name; through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

Almighty and most merciful God, we give thanks to thee for the light of another day, for the work we have to do, and for the strength to do it.  Guide us, we pray thee, by thy truth;  uphold us by thy power;  and purify us by the continual indwelling of thy Spirit.  Grant that in every circumstance we may grow in wisdom, and knowing the things that belong to our peace, obtain strength to persevere;  through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

Almighty God, who sent your Son Jesus Christ to be the light of the world,  that all who follow him might not walk in darkness, but have the light of life:  We praise thee for the Gospel of thy love to humanity,  for the world of salvation to all people, and for the revelation of your glory among all nations.  We bless you for the faithful of every age who have shared their witness of your truth,  for the labor of those who first brought the Gospel to this land,  and for all who have gone forth to distant lands as ambassadors of Christ.  We thank thee for the growth of your church through all the world;  and we ask you to hasten the fulfillment of your promise that the kingdoms of men shall become the kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ;  to whom, with thee,  O Father, and the Holy Spirit, all be the glory for ever and ever.  Amen.
