CALLS TO WORSHIP (Responsive) mailto:ckhughes@adams.net
Palm Sunday
L: The Lord be with you.
P: And also with you.
L: Jesus entered Jerusalem in triumph.
P: The Children greeted him with shouts of
"Hosanna, Blessed is He who comes in the
name of the Lord.
L: We gather in this time and at this place as the
children of those children.
P: We greet the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
L: Those who gathered in Jerusalem looked for one
to conquer with political might and worldly
power.
P: We greet the One who conquered by becoming
obedient to a cross and by the power of love.
L: In all that is we sense God breaking and building,
shaping and transforming, redeeming and
perfecting.
P: We worship the God who calls us to the life of
discipleship in a kingdom of love.
A Sunday in Easter
L: The Lord be with you.
P: And also with you.
L: He is risen.
P: Risen indeed.
L: Come see the place where they laid him.
P: The stone is rolled back. The tomb is empty.
L: He is not here. He lives.
P: Because He lives, we who were once dead in our
trespasses and sins can live also.
L: In all that is we sense God breaking and building,
shaping and transforming, redeeming and perfecting.
P: We worship the God who raised Jesus from
death that we, the resurrection community, be
disciples in a kingdom of love.
A Sunday In Easter
L: The Lord be with you.
P: And also with you.
L: He is risen.
P: Risen indeed.
L: We are the resurrection community.
P: We live in the mystery of love that overcomes
death.
L: The empty tomb speaks to us of promise.
P: Because He lives, we who were once dead in our
trespasses and sins can live also.
L: In all that is we sense God breaking and building,
shaping and transforming, redeeming and
perfecting.
P: We worship the God who raised Jesus from the
dead so that we, the resurrection community,
become disciples in a kingdom of love.
