Advent  Fourth Sunday

Choral Introit

Litany

Reader A:    Let us call upon the name of the Lord.
Restore us, O Lord God Almighty.

May God's face shine upon us,
                    That we may be saved.

Scripture

Reader B: Our scripture for this fourth Sunday is taken from the book of Isaiah 7:10-16

Lighting of the Four Advent Candles
Reader A:    Once again we come to this Advent Wreath.  The first candle reminds us to be peaceful.  The second candle reminds us to be hopeful.  The third candle reminds us to be joyful.  And now the fourth candle reminds us to be faithful as God is always faithful to us.

Prayer
Reader B:  Let us pray:  God God, You call all of us to be faithful; not just knowing right and wrong and choosing right as prophesied about your Son, but to have a deep, abiding faith in You as well.  O God help us to be faithful.  Amen.
